$50,000 Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship – Site Excerpt: “Of these students, two will be selected to receive $50,000 college scholarships. To apply, the application form must be completed and mailed to the Freedom Forum.”

$5,000 Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. Site Excerpt: “The Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting program is an international competition open to screenwriters who have not earned more than $5,000 writing for film or television.”

$10,000 Scholastic Art & Writing Award. Site Excerpt: “More than 30,000 entries qualify for national adjudication, and 1,100 young artists and writers across the country receive national awards. The Gold Portfolio Award recipients receive $10,000 scholarships, representing the highest level of achievement in The Awards.”

Site Excerpt: “All applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, or have been accepted at a four-year institution to complete suspended studies. Applicants must provide evidence of an aptitude for photojournalism as well as academic ability and financial need.”

$30,000 Harry Truman Scholarship. “Each Scholarship provides $30,000--$3,000 for the senior year and $27,000 for graduate study. Scholars also receive priority admission and supplemental financial aid at some premier graduate institutions, leadership training, career and graduate school counseling, and special internship opportunities within the federal government.

$5,000 Carpe Diem Foundation Scholarship. Site Excerpt: “The Carpe Diem Foundation’s mission is to identify, honor and assist the best, brightest and most altruistic college students in the United States. The Foundation offers recognition and scholarship support to deserving students.”

$2,000 American History Scholarship. Site Excerpt: “The American History Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school students who will have a concentrated study of a minimum of 24 credit hours in American History and American Government. This award is intended to promote the study of our history among our finest students. U.S. Citizens residing abroad may apply through a Units Overseas Chapter.”
